Do You Like to Sing?  The Metropolitan Detroit Chorale announces Open Membership

 

On three Tuesdays in September, the 13th, 20th, and 27th, those interested in becoming to members of MDC are welcome to attend a rehearsal.  Individuals may choose to join or may just sit in on a rehearsal to see how they like it before deciding.  Additional information is here.  MDC rehearses at Hope Community Baptist Church located at 42259 Hayes Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48313.

Metropolitan Detroit Chorale Has A New Home

 

Beginning September 13, 2022, the Metropolitan Detroit Chorale will be rehearsing at a new location at Hope Community Baptist Church located at 42259 Hayes Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48313.  The Chorale will also hold its 2022 Messiah concert and 2023 Masterworks concert, featuring Jubilate Deo by Dan Forrest at this new venue.  MDC thanks the staff and congregation of Hope Community Baptist for this opportunity.

Concert Raises Funds for Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund

 

The Metropolitan Detroit Chorale thanks its patrons for their generosity.  Their donations raised over $600 for the Global Giving’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund, Project #55462.  Attendees at MDC’s Masterworks concert, In Memory and Hope, on May 15, 2022 also participated in a candle lighting ceremony following the chorus’s presentation of Requiem by John Rutter.  The program closed with John Rutter’s A Ukrainian Prayer which the composer freely offered to the world.
