Metropolitan Detroit Chorale Received Grants in Support of its 2005-2006 Season

The Metropolitan Detroit Chorale's 2005-2006 concert season was very successful and a great deal of the success can be attributed to the fact that the Chorale was the recipient of several grants and donations. To help in funding the Masterworks Concert the Daimler Chrysler Corporation Fund granted the Chorale 5,000 dollars, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan donated 4,500 dollars and the Michigan Council For Arts and Cultural Affairs granted 2,000 dollars.

The Chorale gratefully acknowledges the support of these organizations and their efforts on behalf of the arts. The support is beneficial, not only to the Chorale, but to the entire community.

Many Join in Supporting Chorale Programs

The Metropolitan Detroit Chorale thanks the many organizations and businesses that are supporting the May premiere of The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan has provided major underwriting for this event. The Chorale wishes to thank Mr. Daniel Loepp, Executive Vice President and CEO Designate of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, for his assistance. The Chorale has also been fortunate to receive a grant from the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs through its partnership with the State of Michigan and this agency's Minigrant program. The Art Center in Mount Clemens is the Regional Regranting Agency for Macomb County. In addition, several local businesses have made donations to help cover the cost of music for the 65 students who will join with the Chorale for this concert. If you or your business would like to join in this effort, please contact the Chorale, at (586) 792-7464. The generosity of all these individuals and donors enables the Chorale to bring its programs to you without increasing ticket prices.
