Milestones

1970 - Fraser Civic Chorus was dedicated to providing the citizens of Fraser the opportunity to present beautiful vocal music to the community under the direction of Howard C. Richards.

1989 - the group incorporated as a non-profit organization and became the Fraser Chorale, Inc. under the direction of Pasquale Pascaretti.

1995 - the group became the Metropolitan Detroit Chorale, Inc. For over 35 years the Metropolitan Detroit Chorale has contributed to the musical enrichment of citizens in the area.

With Pasquale Pascaretti, the chorale has performed such masterworks as the Bach Magnificat, Mendelssohn's Elijah, Mozart's Requiem, Rutter's Gloria and Vivaldi's Gloria.

2001 - The Chorale participated in the Requiem in Carnegie Hall under the direction of John Rutter.

2003 - The Chorale participated with Rutter in Mass of the Children.

2006 - The Chorale presented the Michigan premiere of The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace by Karl Jenkins.

2007 - The Chorale presented the Midwest premiere of Requiem by Karl Jenkins.

2007 - Members of the Chorale made a third appearance at Carnegie Hall to sing Handel's Messiah under the direction of John Rutter.
